EXPERIENCE

The firm's founder, Eric Hull, has extensive experience in the financial services industry, spanning the fields of investment management, investment banking and auditing. His investment experience ranges from advising major corporations considering mergers & acquisitions to providing portfolio management services to pension and endowment funds, labor unions, mutual funds and high net worth individuals.

Prior to founding Evergreen Wealth Advisors, Inc., Eric was Senior Vice President and Senior Investment Officer at Jurika & Voyles, L.P. ("J&V"). He was elected principal of the firm in 1997 and was promoted in 1999 to co-manage the firm's flagship Relative Value product along with his partner, Guy Elliffe. As primary strategist, Eric redesigned the investment process for the Relative Value by applying a method he had developed using leading economic indicators combined with macro valuation analysis to identify sectors within the market that exhibited favorable risk/reward characteristics. Eric and his partner led the research team at J&V in managing the investment of client portfolios averaging approximately $2.2 billion in assets from the time they jointly assumed responsibility to when J&V was merged with Loomis Sayles.

Prior to J&V, Eric worked for The First Boston Corporation and Kemper Securities Group as a merger & acquisition and corporate finance specialist, where he successfully completed over 25 M&A transactions for clients. Eric began his career in 1984 working as an auditor for Arthur Andersen & Co., where he completed 15 audits and received 450 hours of specialized training in accounting and auditing.

Eric earned his B.S., with high distinction, from the Haas School of Business at U.C. Berkeley, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, an honor given to those in the top 10% of their class. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst, passed the Certified Public Accountant examination, and passed the NASD series 7 and 63 examinations.
